Wee ones might not be able to stay up ’til the stroke of midnight, but they can still ring in 2017 with a celebration all their very own.
1. Countdown to the ball drop. The best part of New Year’s Eve is staying up late, but little partiers just can’t (or shouldn’t) make it to midnight. Try ringing in the “noon year,” celebrate at 12 p.m. rather than a.m., or pick an earlier time zone and celebrate alongside it. You can also change the clocks so that they strike midnight at 8 p.m. rather than midnight. Count down the new year with noisemakers and confetti rockets.
